What to Expect

What are our worship services like?
When you come on Sunday morning, you'll find a warm, family-like environment. Our services are centered aroud the Word of God: we read the Bible, sing the Bible, pray the Bible, preach the Bible, and respond to the Bible. We won't single you out or pressure you in any way...we just want to introduce you to the God who loves you and cares about you!
What are Wednesday nights likes?
Wednesday nights are like laid back and interactive. No, you won't be asked to make a speech, but it is open for questions and dialogue. We meet to pray with one another and study Scripture.
Where should I park?
Look for spots around our building or in the field across 1st Street. Of course, handicap parking is available along Church Ave.
What security measures are in place for my family?
We have a weekly security team (unmarked) inside and outside our buildings as we meet on Sundays and Wednesdays. You won't even notice them...but they're present!
For volunteers, we conduct background checks on anyone working with minors (under 18). Also, for birth–5th graders, we have a check-in security system. When you arrive, we can direct you to the check-in zone where your child will receive a unique code that only you have. When services are finished, you can present your code to the check-in team to pick up your child!
What will my kids do?
SS, Faith Kids, nursery, pre-k, Wednesday night kids, youth, etc.
Let's start with babies. Any child birth–24 months is welcome in our nursery ministry. Our volunteers will take care of, play with, and have fun with your babies during Sunday School, worship, and on Wednesday nights.
At 9:00 AM on Sundays, all our Sunday School classes meet. We have kids' classes for pre-k through 5th grade. At 10:00 AM, when worship begins, our 1st–5th graders come into the service with everyone else. About half-way through that time, we invite 1st–3rd graders to go to Faith Kids. This is an age-specific time of Bible teaching that occurs in another area of our church building. Parents can send their kids to Faith Kids while they engage with the sermon from God's Word.
On Wednesdays, we have pre-k classes and large-group time for 1st–5th grade.
What should I wear?
We're flexible! OnSundays...For men, jeans or khaki pants and either a t-shirt or a collared shirt will fit in. If you want to dress up even more, a sports coat is good. If you want to dress down, shorts are acceptable. For women, jeans, nice pants, or a casual dress are appropriate. On Wednesdays...shorts, jeans, t-shirt are all fine.
What next steps can I take?
Come join us in person! There's nothing like being in the room! When you arrive on Sundays, a member of our hospitality team will be there to greet you and answer any questions you have. After worship, we have encouragers available. This is a team of people trained to pray for you and help you make any spiritual decision that you need to make. As always, one of our pastors is usually available before and after services to chat.
What should I bring with me?
The most important thing to bring is just yourself! If you want to bring a Bible, then that will certainly be helpful to you. As you look around, you'll notice many people using their phones to access the Bible App, as well.
